Insulin is the master hormone of fat storage. While it's elevated, your body cannot access fat as fuel — no matter how little you eat.
Your body isn't broken. It's full. Think of your cells like a sponge saturated with sugar. Insulin keeps packing more in. When the sponge overflows, the excess becomes fat.
This is hyperinsulinemia — too much insulin, for too long. It's not insulin resistance. It's overflow. The sponge needs wringing out.
When you stop eating, insulin drops. As it drops, your body starts accessing stored fat — sometimes for the first time in years. The longer and deeper the fast, the more the sponge drains.
Weight loss follows insulin, not calories. The scale lags weeks behind the biochemistry. This is why insulin is the metric that matters.
< 6.0 mIU/L on two consecutive tests = metabolic reset complete. The sponge is empty.

This isn't a generic chatbot. It's trained on the science of fasting, hyperinsulinemia, and metabolic reset — by someone who fasted 222 days and survived.
It uses your blood results to give you a personalised response, not a generic one.

We can't coach what we can't measure. Insulin is the kingpin — it controls whether your body can access fat stores at all.

26 entries from 222 days of survival, relapse, and return.
This is the mission statement of the second chapter. Francois de Ridder completed a 222-day water fast so that nobody else should be so desperate about their obesity to attempt it.
Then he relapsed. Sixty kilograms returned in four months. An obese body that betrays at the slightest glimpse of a false normal. And from inside that relapse, the second harder truth emerged:
"I am here to assist lost souls trapped in a no-hope cycle. I just did not think this would be the vehicle."
The vehicle is the relapse. The person standing in the relapse needs someone who has been exactly where they are — who understands the biochemistry — who will say "I failed" out loud and come back anyway. He is 59 years old. Still in the middle of his own crossing. And he turned around.
The medical establishment frames obesity as "insulin resistance" — cells stop listening to insulin, so the pancreas pumps out more. This implies malfunction. It says the body is broken.
The overflow model describes what is actually happening. The body is chronically exposed to high insulin from diet and the frequency of eating. Cells become congested. The "resistance" is a protective mechanism — the cell refusing to take in more glucose than it can safely process. The sponge is soaked.
During the 222-day fast, fasting insulin dropped from 33.0 mIU/L (Day 2) to 2.9 mIU/L (Day 177). The sponge emptied in real time.
Target: fasting insulin below 6.0 mIU/L. At this level the body exits storage mode and enters oxidation mode. Weight is a lagging indicator. Insulin is the leading indicator.
Your personalized refeed protocol is calculated from your blood panel — insulin, potassium, and electrolyte levels determine your risk category and reintroduction schedule.
